Short C-23E ‘Sherpa’
The little workhorse that could (and did) is still around in the Cyberpunk era. The collapse kept the Belfast company (Short Brothers) in operation. The disaster that became Northern Ireland forced the government to keep the plant open or face even greater worker unrest. It turned out to be a smart move economically as the inexpensive aircraft grew in popularity especially when they came out with an Aero-CHOO fueled version (C-23D). The addition of winglets along with improved, lighter materials doubled the range to 2300 miles (C-23E). The company is now manufacturing the C-23F version for military sales only. Many of the older models have been remanufactured and are very popular in civilian service. Often many of these aircraft still have some military gear still installed, but nothing classified. Below is the write up for the Sherpa C-23E (which may be making an appearance in the Burn Notice Campaign).
